Nairobi – Kenyan police raided a nightclub, arresting 60 people on “suspicion of homosexuality.” However they have been charged with being “intoxicated and disorderly.

The Kenyan police deny that they arrested such a large number of people for homosexuality. But the nightclub considers the raid on its premise as a discriminatory attack. Same sex sexual activity in Kenya is punishable by up to 14 years in prison.

A Kenyan Government spokesperson said “homosexuality is terrorism.”
