A person can repeat themselves a thousand times and never enhance the interest of a single government employee. Mr Gerry Georgatos is straight to the point in showing how serious the problem of emotional defeat envelopes whole families. Tragedy leads to mild schizophrenia in many cases and having retired from seeking recourse from a government hierarchy I began reaching out to defeated people via a technique which our earlier poets and scribes used to reach out for inattentive people troubled by the social depression that surrounded them. Slim Dusty was a leader in drawing in a lost group of people and instilling hope. I myself create what I refer to as Quotes from the Heart that do seem to attract daily a growing number of observers to a new Facebook page now referred to as; ‘Our Story.’ Numerous people tell their story with photo’s or advertising their products but there too are a growing number of people contributing their message with true messages in the ‘Short and Sweet Method.’ Inner inspiration and not long rambling letters attract people with problems of their own and many of us know that being undiplomatic or gruesome pushes even the most caring politician or social worker to quickly turn the page to something more palatable. I know how to counsel any family in dire straits and the first thing I do is rip the whole suffering family out of the house and give them two weeks with older people that suffer with them and when they return home their house is refurbished, painted, and ready to start all over again. An Aboriginal woman in Cunnamulla took us, little kids, into her home and when our own mother got out of the mental hospital our government house had real beds, real, curtains and real food instead of porridge and chips. Hope you get the gist of what I am saying.
