Four Arrows (Wahinkpe Topa), aka Don Trent Jacobs, has doctorates in health psychology and in curriculum. Former Dean of Education at Oglala Lakota College and a tenured professor at Northern Arizona University, he is currently on faculty in the College of Educational Leadership and Change at Fielding Graduate University.

Author of numerous articles, chapters and books, including Primal Awareness, Critical Neurophilosophy and Indigenous Wisdom, Teaching Virtues, Teaching Truly and 16 others, Four Arrows offers perspectives from Indigenous ways of knowing that are applicable for contemporary efforts to rebalance our world. Recipient of the Martine Springer Institute for Holocaust Studies 2004 Moral Courage Award and the 2013 Mid Day Star Award for his work in behalf of Indigenous Peoples, Four Arrows continues his activism from his home in Fortuna, Mexico where he lives with his artist wife.
