Counseling should be individualistic and more on the empathetic side of things. You need people who have overcome same challenges reaching out, not just people with certificates!!! My experiences as a migrant were unique to people of my origin and let me say this: No Australian counselor understands what a migrant truly goes through. Being schooled in general psychology or mental health does not guarantee success in reaching the crux of a sufferer's heart!
