We have seen asylum seekers treated tis way before. The technique is familiar to that of Hitler and lead to Australia's refusal of sanctuary for those on the St Louis just before World War 2, to our everlasting shame. Howards Government in our name contributed to the ongoing unrest in the Middle East. We have responsibility to share the consequences.
